General Terms and Conditions
Booking Conditions
A non-refundable reservation fee of 20% of the total price is required to be paid by check. Once we have received this deposit, the reservation will be confirmed. The full price is payable no later than 6 weeks prior to arrival. Your payment receipt will serve as your voucher. Please transfer the payment to one of our bank accounts provided below.
Cancellation
Cancellations must be made in writing and will be effective upon receipt of the corresponding notification. If cancellation occurs 6 weeks prior to arrival, the deposit is non-refundable. If your cancellation occurs after the full payment is due, the following cancellation fees will be applied:
Cancellation fees as a percentage of the total price:
- More than 6 weeks before the arrival date: Reservation fee is forfeited.
- Between 6 – 2 weeks before the arrival date: 50% of the total price.
- Less than 2 weeks before the arrival date: 90% of the total price.
The person signing the booking guarantees that he or she is authorized to do so on behalf of the other travelers. Furthermore, he/she commits to paying the full price for all reservations booked by him/her in the event of non-payment by one or all other individuals.
Insurance / Security
Fort Sesfontein is located in the African wilderness. Staying at the fort and using fort-owned vehicles and facilities is at your own risk, and we assume no liability.
Please note that during our safaris, you will have close contact with wild animals. Attacks are rare, but we cannot guarantee that such incidents will not occur. Neither the company nor the staff or the tour operator can be held responsible for any injuries or incidents that may occur during a safari. All guests are strongly recommended to have adequate insurance coverage.
Liability
Neither the company nor any person acting on behalf of the company shall be liable for any losses or damages, of any kind, arising from any errors or omissions, late or non-confirmation of reservations, delays, illness, injuries, or death, whether caused by negligence or not. This applies without limitation.
The company and its employees shall not be held responsible for any losses or damages incurred, regardless of the nature, during your stay or while participating in any activities or excursions organized by the company.
It is recommended that guests obtain appropriate insurance coverage for their trip to cover any potential losses or damages.
Refunds
The company strives to provide all the facilities as planned, however, there is no entitlement to any refund, including partial compensation, in case a facility is not available or if the guest is unable to utilize a service.
Approval
Payment of the reservation fee or any other partial payment for a booking constitutes acceptance of all the stated terms and general information contained in this letter. The terms on which you agree to stay at the Fort cannot be changed or supplemented , unless in writing and signed by a person authorized by the Company.
